What lies within the jungle?
The Lush Jungle event celebrates Pokémon who can be found within jungle-like habitats in Pokémon Go.
As part of this event, you can complete the Lush Jungle timed research quest and collect event exclusive field research tasks. The next Alola themed special research quest - An Akala Adventure - has also been released as part of the Lush Jungle event.
Best of all, however, three Gen 7 Pokémon have been released as part of this event - the legendary Tapu Lele, Fomantis and, its evolution, Lurantis.

'Lush Jungle' quest steps in Pokémon Go
'Lush Jungle' is the aptly named timed research quest for the Lush Jungle event in Pokémon Go.
Since it's a timed research quest, you must complete it before the event ends on Tuesday, 29th March or else you'll miss out on the rewards.

'Lush Jungle' Step 1 of 4
- Walk 1km - 10 Poké Balls
- Catch 10 Pokémon - 5 Razz Berries
- Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon - 5 Pinap Berries
Rewards: 500 XP, 5 Nanab Berries and a Cherrim encounter
'Lush Jungle' Step 2 of 4
- Walk 1km - 10 Poké Balls
- Catch 5 Grass-type Pokémon - Chikorita encounter
- Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokémon - Bellsprout encounter
Rewards: 1000 XP, 5 Razz Berries and a Gloom encounter
'Lush Jungle' Step 3 of 4
- Walk 1km - 10 Poké Balls
- Catch 10 Grass-type Pokémon - Foongus encounter
- Use 15 Berries to help catch Pokémon - Shroomish encounter
Rewards: 1500 XP, 5 Pinap Berries and a Paras encounter

- Give your buddy 3 treats - Sunkern encounter

Pokémon Go Lush Jungle research tasks explained
Throughout the Lush Jungle event in Pokémon Go, you can collect event exclusive field research tasks by spinning PokéStops. These tasks can be saved in your field research task collection and completed after the event ends.
Here are the Lush Jungle field research tasks:
- Use 3 Berries to help catch Pokémon reward - Caterpie and Wurmple encounter
- Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokémon reward - Fomantis encounter
- Use 15 Berries to help catch Pokémon reward - Paras or Parasect encounter
- Catch 5 Grass-type Pokémon reward - Seedot, Exeggcute, Ferroseed or Sunkern encounter
- Catch 5 different species of Grass-type Pokémon reward - Cottonee encounter
- Walk 1km reward - 2 Pinap Berries or 3 Razz Berries

Pokémon Go Lush Jungle spawns and events bonuses explained
The main draw of the Lush Jungle event in Pokémon Go is the release of three Gen 7 Pokémon - Tapu Lele, Fomantis and, its evolution, Lurantis.
Tapu Lele can be battled in five-star raids, while Fomantis can be caught through various means, including spawning more frequently in the wild during the Lush Jungle event.
The following Pokémon will also be appearing more frequently in the wild:
- Metapod
- Paras
- Exeggcute
- Pinsir
- Hoothoot
- Sudowoodo
- Cottonee
- Ferroseed
Shiny Cottonee has also been released as part of the Lush Jungle event, so keep an eye out for this new shiny form! This task will be made easier by how Cottonee will be appearing more frequently in park areas between 10am to 8pm (local time) on Saturday, 26th March and Sunday, 27th March.
You'll also be able to battle Mega Charizard Y in Mega Raids and Bellsprout, Tangela, Sewaddle and Cottonee are all appearing in one-star raids. Butterfree, Vileplume, Parasect and Exeggutor are awaiting you in three-star raids.
Finally, the An Akala Adventure special research quest has been released as part of the Lush Jungle event. This is the second Alola region themed special research quest - the first being A Melemele Adventure - to be released during the Season of Alola and, by completing all four before the season ends, you'll gain free access to an end-of-season special research quest.

The Lush Jungle event in Pokémon Go is running from Tuesday, 22nd March to Tuesday, 29th March at 8pm (local time).
Make sure you complete the timed research quest and catch a couple of Fomantis before the event ends. We also recommend taking the time to complete the An Akala Adventure special research quest, so you're one step closer to unlocking the end-of-season special research quest!
